From a picture to a pattern
Choose a JPG or PNG, select a grid size and bead palette, then inspect the result before exporting. The photo converter accepts square grid sizes from 8 to 208 beads per side. More cells preserve more detail but require more beads and a larger physical project.
What you can make
- Photo-based patterns and hand-edited pixel art.
- Personalized name charms and QR-code bead designs.
- PNG pattern charts, CSV material lists and paginated A4 printouts.
- Browser-based practice and progress marking while placing beads.
What to check before buying beads
The Web product defaults to ARTKAL C, a 2.6 mm palette with C01–C157 codes. Other palettes and existing work can use different codes. Screen colors are approximations; match your pattern to the actual bead brand, series, size and stock.
Local work needs a backup
Saved work belongs to the current browser and domain. It does not automatically sync across devices. Clearing site data can remove it. Export important patterns and material lists before changing browsers or clearing storage.
Common questions
Is BeadWan free?
The current Web creative tools are free. You do not need an account to convert images, edit patterns or export. Beads and other physical supplies are purchased separately.
Does BeadWan sell the beads?
BeadWan creates patterns and material lists. Some shopping links lead to third-party stores and may earn a commission. Check the seller's color, size, stock and shipping details before ordering.
Is this an AI image generator?
The image converter maps an image to a bead grid and palette. It is not a text-to-image generation service, and it does not guarantee a perfect reconstruction of the source picture.
